Google Android App Now Splits Cards Into Feed, Upcoming Sections

Google's cards present users with information such as sports scores, flight details, weather information and more.

Google released an update for its Android application, which separates the app’s cards into two sections: feed and upcoming. Google’s cards present users with information such as sports scores, flight details, weather information and more.

With this update, the feed will present users with cards related to their interests, such as sports, news and entertainment information, while the upcoming section will present users with cards containing personal information, such as upcoming flight details, package delivery information and more.

Google said the feed section will become “more tailored and relevant” to users as they continue to use the app. In addition, users can update their interests and add new interests by going to the “customize” section in the app’s settings menu.

Finally, for users in the U.S., Google said it will now show users a card in their feeds that will allow them to select the topics of interest they’d like to see more content related to. Google said this feature will roll out to users in other countries “in the coming months.”

The updated Google app is now available to download for free on Google Play. The update is coming soon to iOS.
