Golden Grahams, Mekanism Add Humor, Cereal to Job Search

General MillsGolden Grahams cereal teamed up with digital production company Mekanism on the Golden Grant Stimulus Package, a social-media campaign that launched Wednesday and is targeted toward men who are looking for jobs.

Golden Grant Stimulus Package encourages people to share their funniest job experiences in 120 characters or fewer via the site, Facebook, or Twitter, with the funniest submissions animated into short videos that will appear on the site. Entrants also have the chance to win 12 boxes of Golden Grahams cereal.

Chantelle Karl of Mekanism said:

Why? Arguably, 2009 was a rough year. One indication was the job market. In fact, more than 52 percent of young people today are still unemployed. But Golden Grahams is optimistic about 2010 and wants to help fuel those job searches with humor — and a little sustenance.
