GIFs, Photos and Videos Can Now Be Added to Retweets on Twitter

The feature is rolling out on iOS, Android and the social network’s mobile site

Retweets are about to become a lot more animated, as Twitter is rolling out the ability to add GIFs, photos and videos, the same way they can already do so with tweets.

The update began rolling out Monday on iOS, Android and Twitter’s mobile site.

Twitter vice president of client solutions Sarah Personette said, “We pride ourselves on being a space where the most vibrant conversations happen, and we recognize that images have become a big part of how users talk to each other and express themselves.
