The internet annotation site Genius has named Ronen Shapiro its first chief revenue officer. He most recently served as Vice Media’s vp of sales.
Shapiro previously worked for Pandora and Complex Media.
“Ronen combines deep experience in digital media with unmatched hunger to build something new,” said Genius co-founders Tom Lehman and Ilan Zechory, in an announcement. “We can think of no one better-suited to architect the Genius revenue playbook.”
