In March, Garden & Gun celebrated its 10th anniversary. At its online store Mercantile & Co, there are truly Southern items, such as a $425 Turkey Call, featuring a trumpet “hand-turned from a combination of certified pre-banned elephant ivory and African Water Buffalo horn.” And on the event side, G&G will close out 2017 with its fifth annual Jubilee, a celebration in Charleston Dec. 1-3.
To this mix has been added a new player. After two and a half decades with Condé Nast, most recently as executive director of finance and operations for Allure magazine, Kevin Donovan has joined Garden & Gun Magazine LLC as the company’s first-ever CFO. From the announcement:

At the Dewberry Hotel in Charleston, G&G has opened a pair of adjacent, flagship Fieldshop boutiques, separately called Hunt and Gather. All in all, the magazine has put together a rich portfolio of brand extensions for Donovan to play with and, eventually, add to.
