From Website to Magazine to TV Show, Allrecipes Comes to The CW

Panasonic has signed on as an "integrated partner" for Allrecipes' Dinner Spinner competition show.

We’re learning more about Meredith’s new TV series based on their Allrecipes brand. The company pitched the show, and other new products, to ad buyers at its first-ever BrandFront presentation this morning in New York.

Dinner Spinner will air on The CW on Saturday mornings, starting Oct. 1. The half-hour cooking competition series, inspired by the Dinner Spinner app, will be hosted by chef and TV personality Gabe Kennedy (pictured) with celebrity judges including Ali Landry, Laila AliCourtney Lopez and chef John Mitzewich. Meredith says the goal of each episode is to teach audiences how healthy ingredients can positively affect your quality of life. Panasonic has signed on as an “integrated partner” for the show.

“This new television series is the first to bring to life a strong, well-loved brand and its multi-channel components—as an app, across print, digital and social media, and now broadcast—that fully complement one another,” says Kim Martin, Meredith’s chief brand officer.

Allrecipes is one of the newest print magazines on the market. It launched in 2013 in response to the popularity of, which Meredith acquired in 2012. The combined portfolio reaches about 7.6 million readers each month, Meredith says.
