Between memes, hot takes and demands to delete your account, social media is a key way for brands and individuals to make themselves heard. The trick is doing it effectively, and that’s where the Shorty Awards come in.

For the ninth year in a row, the Shorty Awards will honor both influencers and brands in multiple categories for their work on social media. (You can see last year’s finalists by clicking here.) In addition to recognizing that work, the team at the Shorty Awards also spots industry-wide trends.

“This year we have received more entries from brands, organizations and agencies than ever before,” said Gregory Galant, the co-founder of the Shorty Awards and CEO of Muck Rack.
