Several Southern California felines played a part in the making of four-minute documentary Cat Diaries: The First Ever Movie Filmed by Cats. Our favorite, based on the bios listed at sponsor Friskies’ website, is 14-year-old Hollywood male Simon. (Apparently, this corresponds to 72 in human years.)
“Simon is a professor emeritus at USC,” the tongue-in-cheek owner-provided profile reads. “He is the recipient of the prestigious Lamont Prize for poetry, the MacDowell Medal for contribution to the arts and the only cat ever to receive a “Genius Grant” from the John D.
