French Kindle Store Could Open Soon

Rumors have been circulating that Amazon is going to open it’s Kindle eBook store as early as this weekend. Last week, The Bookseller reported that French publisher Flammarion had signed an agreement to sell eBooks through Amazon.

We received an anonymous tip from an author who saw France show up on his/her Kindle Direct Publishing report. Here is more from the tipster: “Just checked my Amazon KDP and saw that my ebooks are now available in the France store … only when clicked on nothing came up. Yet.”

With the new line of Kindle devices ready to ship in the U.S. this fall, we can only speculate that the devices will be in Europe soon after.
