Fox News Names John Roberts Chief White House Correspondent

He starts on Inauguration Day.

John Roberts‘ role covering Donald Trump during the 2016 election may be over, but Roberts isn’t done covering Trump himself. Fox News has named Roberts chief White House correspondent, a position that begins in January on Inauguration Day.

“John’s 30 years of experience and reputable journalism skills were showcased throughout his coverage from the campaign trail during the 2016 election season,” said evp of news Jay Wallace in a statement. “We are proud to welcome him to the Washington bureau and look forward to him leading the network’s coverage of incoming President-elect Donald Trump.”
