Former L.A. Times Magazine Editors Launch Noir Magazine App
When the Los Angeles Times shuttered its Sunday magazine this past spring, former editor-in-chief Nancie Clare and former creative director Rip Georges created a Kickstarter project to fund a digital magazine app called Noir Magazine. The app aims to cover all things Noir.
After a successful campaign that raised more than $36,000, the app launches in the App store this weekend.
Here is more about the publication from its Facebook page: “Multi-media coverage of what’s happening in the world of mystery, thriller and true crime: Q&As with writers, directors and actors; in-depth articles on new books, TV series and films; original graphic novellas; up-to-the-minute round-ups of new releases and events from around the world; compelling photographic essays inspired by the world of noir; rediscovered short stories curated by Otto Penzler; and travel articles exploring the genre’s lore and locations.”
