Former Hot 97 Programmer Tracy Cloherty Joins BET

Veteran radio executive Tracy Cloherty, who made her mark as Emmis VP of Programming, is headed to BET.

Hot 97 evening DJ FunkMaster Flex, wrote on his website today:

“Congratulations to Tracy Cloherty on her new position…VP of Talent at BET!!!!–Funk Flex”

Most recently, Cloherty moved to CBS Radio, joining K Rock/WXRK as program director in 2007. Surprisingly though, by 2008, Cloherty was out, along with those in-charge at WCBS-AM and WWFS (Fresh).

Cloherty is a graduate of Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn.
