Ford PR Hires <em>WSJ</em> Automotive Reporter John Stoll

First on PRNewser: Ford has hired Wall Street Journal reporter John Stoll as Manager, Global Corporate News. Stoll covered General Motors for the past several years and covered Ford while at Dow Jones Newswires before his stint at the Journal. Stoll will "take on direct oversight of our Financial News communications, working with the Communications team around the world, as well as Lewis Booth and our colleagues in Finance, Treasury and Investor Relations," said Ford VP of Communications Ray Day in an email to staff obtained by PRNewser. Please welcome John Stoll, who is joining the Ford Communications team as Manager, Global Corporate News, reporting to Mark Truby, Director, Global Corporate Communications. John joins us from The Wall Street Journal, where he has earned an impressive reputation. For the past several years, he has covered General Motors during a period of unprecedented and historic front-page news-making. John will join us soon as the leader of our Global Corporate News team. He also will take on direct oversight of our Financial News communications, working with the Communications team around the world, as well as Lewis Booth and our colleagues in Finance, Treasury and Investor Relations. Reporting to John will be: Marcey Evans, Manager, Manufacturing, Labor and Legal Affairs Kelli Felker, Manager, Broadcast News Scott Monty, Manager, Global Digital and Multimedia Communications Todd Nissen, Manager, Purchasing and Corporate News Before joining The Wall Street Journal, John covered the auto industry - including Ford - for the Dow Jones Newswires and Ward's Auto. He is a graduate of Oakland University in Michigan with a major in history and minor in journalism. He teaches journalism part-time at the university. The Blue Oval runs deep in John's family. His father has worked for nearly 50 years selling and servicing Ford cars and trucks - currently at Huntington Ford in Rochester Hills, Mich. John and his wife, Kimberly, live in Birmingham, Mich., with their son.
