Forbes Launches Blogging Platform While Conde Launches Restaurants, Plus Other News of the Day

– Today Forbes soft-launched its new blogging platform instituted by chief product officer Lewis Dvorkin. According to Dvorkin’s blog post announcing the launch, “It’s just the first step in our plans to open up our digital and print platforms to content creators, consumers and marketers alike.” Interesting, but still don’t really understand what that means.

– Social media is costing the United Kingdom $14 billion a year, according to analysis by MyJobGroup.co.uk. The group estimates that 55 percent of workers access social media sites throughout the day, including 6 percent who do it for more than an hour a day.
