Forbes Dumps On LA Shopping
It’s bad enough that Los Angeles ranks 16th on the Forbes list of “The 25 Best Shopping Cities in the U.S.” But in annotating the magazine’s first-ever such compilation, did reporter Meghan Casserly really have to get an LA resident to further flatter the winning metropolis?
Seriously, not only does Houston transplant Kate Barash praise her hometown’s boutique shopping to the rafters, she does so to the further detriment of our local merchandise.
Barash, who describes her own fashion sense as “date night feisty,” shares her two favorite Houston stops for shopping: 310 Rosemont and Lot 8, where she finds “the best LA designers without the Los Angeles inflated prices.”
The only relative good news for local credit card swipers is that while San Diego scored tenth place on the Forbes ranking, San Francisco comes in dead last at no.
