Food Network Magazine Hits The Streets With SweeteryNYC

Food Network Magazine is celebrating its special December issue in a — wait for it — sweet way: Today, the magazine is teaming up with SweeteryNYC to provide food truck treats to New Yorkers. Such a partnership has worked well for Food Network mag before — it worked with food trucks both in April of this year, as a means of celebrating its first ASME nomination for General Excellence, and in October, partnering with chocolatier Scharffen Berger to promote a special recipe contest.

The food truck will be parked at locations around the city, handing out hot chocolate (a similar recipe can be found in the magazine itself) with peppermint sticks and biscotti. The Sweet Street Food Truck will be transformed into a mobile version of the December issue’s “gingerpeople” gatefold cover.  The magazine is also partnering with Share Our Strength to collect donations for their No Kid Hungry campaign, and will match up to $5,000.

The first stop this morning will be 52nd Street on Broadway. Follow @footnetmagpromo on Twitter for information on the other locations.

…And stay hungry, because the magazine will be providing treats this coming spring to celebrate its Italian issue.
