Delectable bits from around the web:

— What about Roger? From Page Six: ”ANNA Wintour was courtside at the Garden last night, but not to see the woeful Knicks. The Vogue editrix was a guest of Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James after dining with him the night before at the Waverly Inn. Her boyfriend, Shelby Bryan, was there as well, plus James’ business partner, Maverick Carter. Wintour, who famously befriended tennis champ Roger Federer, hasn’t switched sports. But she’ll have James on the April cover of Vogue with Gisele Bundchen for the annual ‘shape issue.”’

— From The AP: ”David Cay Johnston, a New York Times reporter who won a Pulitzer Prize in 2001 for exposing inequities in the U.S. tax code, said Wednesday he has accepted a buyout package from the newspaper.” David Cay Johnston on NPR, listen here.

— From FT: ”Lachlan Murdoch’s planned media sector comeback has stumbled after he lost the support of one of his chief backers in his proposed $3.1bn purchase of Australia’s Consolidated Media Holdings.

”Mr. Murdoch in January joined forces with James Packer in a 50:50 deal to buy CMH, the Australian-listed group containing the remnants of Kerry Packer’s media empire. The indicative proposal was judged a bold move that was expected to resurrect the media career of Rupert Murdoch’s eldest son.

”However, Lachlan Murdoch’s private company Illyria on Thursday said that SPO Partners, a private San Francisco firm founded by former advisers to the Bass family of Texas, had withdrawn its equity finance commitment to the deal.”
