Financial Times Names Megan Murphy Washington Bureau Chief
Financial Times today announced the appointment of Megan Murphy as Washington bureau chief, to lead FT’s coverage of US politics, effective January 1, 2015. She will relocate from London to Washington this fall.
Murphy currently leads fastFT, a service that delivers market-moving news around the clock. She joined FT in December 2007 and has covered law courts, investment banking and media. Prior to FT, she was a legal affairs correspondent at Bloomberg News.
Murphy succeeds Richard McGregor, who will transition to longer-term projects.
