Facebook's Chris Kelly Invests $2M in California Attorney General Campaign

Will the next Facebook job listing be for the position of chief privacy officer and head of global public policy?

No, Chris Kelly isn’t going anywhere…yet. But Kelly just invested $2 million of his own money, earned from his years with the social-networking service, on his campaign for California Attorney General, SFGate Politics Blog reports.

Kelly faces a tough climb, as he has no previous elected-office experience, and Politics Blog pointed out that his Democratic opponents will include San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris, state Assembly Majority Leader Alberto Torrico, former Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo and Assemblymen Ted Lieu and Pedro Nava.

Politics Blog added that Harris blows Kelly away in terms of Facebook friends, 17,685-2,778.
