Facebook enjoyed 162 million unique U.S. visitors during July.
This marks the second month in a row of record high traffic.
This comes from comScore’s latest monthly report on traffic.
During June, 160.8 million unique visitors hit Facebook and in May there were 157.2 million uniques.
This data set quashes all prior chatter about Facebook possibly losing its luster among U.S. users.
Setting a new record for traffic during the same month that Google Plus launched at the very least indicates that the competitor isn’t detracting from Facebook.
If anything, Google Plus may be increasing people’s appetites for social media.
However, the traffic gain is barely more than one percent over the previous month, and in terms of raw numbers. Google Plus had gained about ten million users during July, but that’s starting from nothing.
Readers, do you think U.S. traffic to Facebook will continue to grow?
