Over the past couple days Facebook has been testing a new form of advertisement which essentially surfaces the liking of a brand by one of your friends.

Over the past couple days Facebook has been testing a new form of advertisement which essentially surfaces the liking of a brand by one of your friends. It’s pretty much identical to the organic story that would typically show up in the feed but this has a more permanent placement in the “Sponsored” area of the homepage.

I reached out to Facebook to find out if this was a new ad and they didn’t provide many details except to say that they’re alway testing new forms of advertising.
