Facebook Is Reminding Users About Today’s Super Bowl

Facebook Live users can add football eye black masks to their broadcasts

Facebook users: In case you didn’t know that today is Super Bowl Sunday, you may start seeing reminders atop your News Feeds.

The social network said in an email to Social Pro Daily that some users will see the message below at the top of their News Feeds Sunday, and clicking on it will bring them to posts, photos, videos and other content related to Super Bowl LI.

Once the National Football League’s champion has been crowned and the Lombardi Trophy has been awarded, congratulatory messages saluting the winning team may appear in users’ News Feeds, and these messages can be shared or, like the pregame messages, tapped to access game-related content.

Facebook Live users can also add football eye black masks to their broadcasts.

Super Bowl 50 last year generated approximately 200 million posts, comments and likes from some 60 million Facebook users.
