Facebook realizes that not all developers can attend its annual F8 conference, so it is bringing a taste of F8 on the road in the form of its iD8 events.
Director of platform partnerships Konstantinos Papamiltiadis said in a blog post that iD8 events give developers the chance to connect face-to-face with Facebook employees and learn about the latest technologies and product updates, covering topics including augmented reality, virtual reality, Messenger and social commerce.
The first iD8 recently took place in Singapore, and the next three invite-only iD8 events are set for São Paulo Oct.
