Facebook now accepting applications for FbStart

Facebook wants to help developers gain their footing on the platform. The company is now accepting applications for FbStart, a program announced at f8 that helps developers build, grow and monetize their apps using Facebook.

Initially, FbStart was only open to developers who attended f8, but now Facebook is accepting applications from any mobile developer with an app that has been live for at least 30 days. FbStart developers will receive help and support from Facebook and Parse, as well as other free services.

Facebook’s Vijay Shankar wrote about the FbStart program in a blog post:

FbStart will offer events, programs, and best practices for participating developers, with the expectation of year-round opportunities to engage with the Facebook team.
