Facebook Moves Toward Sending Contract Workers Who Review Content Home

The social network said response times may be longer and mistakes may be made

Facebook provided an update on steps it is taking to protect employees and contract workers with responsibilities that cannot be handled from home during the coronavirus pandemic.

The social network said in a Newsroom post that it has already taken precautions such as limiting the number of people at any given office and physically spreading people out at those offices.

Facebook added late Monday that it is working with its partners to send all contract workers who perform content review home until further notice, adding that those workers will be paid during this time.

The company wrote, “We believe the investments we’ve made over the past three years have prepared us for this situation.
