Facebook Lite Debuts in U.S., India
What do you get when you take Facebook, remove the navigation tools on the left side and clean up the News Feed? Facebook Lite, naturally.
The social-networking giant rolled out Facebook Lite for testing in the United States and India, and TechCrunch and Inside Facebook pointed out some of the differences.
Updates appear in real-time along the bottom of the page, rather than in the toolbar.
Speaking of the toolbar, an Events tab was added, as well as an option to View Top Stories instead of reading them in order.
