Facebook improves location reporting for pages

Facebook has updated its page insights product to make data more accurate regarding the location of a page’s audience. Now the insights for “Likes” and “Reach” will reflect changes fans make to the current city listed on their profiles, according to a Facebook spokesperson.

The update is not likely to make a noticeable difference for most pages, but it is noteworthy that Facebook is taking action to ensure its data is as accurate as possible. With the redesigned Timeline profile, many users are likely to be updating their information.
