Did you know that Facebook Stories allows you to add your friends’ names to your Stories posts using a name sticker? For instance, if you want to share a picture of one of your friends, you can add their name to the post before sharing it. Our guide will show you how the name sticker works in Stories.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the Facebook application on iOS.

Step 1: Tap “Add to Story” near the top of your Facebook News Feed to go to the Facebook Stories camera.

Step 2: Tap or tap and hold on the large white button at the bottom of the screen to take a new photo or video, respectively. You can also tap the camera roll icon to the right of the white button to import a photo or video from your device.

Step 3: Tap the Stickers button at the top of the screen.

Step 4: Tap the “Name” sticker.

Step 5: Either scroll through the list of friends Facebook presents you with and tap a name to add it to your post, or tap “Who are you with?” at the top of the screen to search for someone manually.

Step 6 (optional): By default, the sticker will only show the user’s first name. If you want to show both their first and last name, tap the sticker.

From there, you can rotate, resize and drag the sticker around the screen to best fit your post before you share it.
