Facebook recently added the ability for users to customize which shortcuts appear in the navigation bar when using the Facebook mobile application. Specifically, users can choose to hide specific shortcuts, or prevent certain shortcuts from appearing in the first place. Our guide will show you how this works.

Step 1: Tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap “Settings & Privacy.”
Step 3: Tap: “Settings.”
Step 4: Scroll down to the “Shortcuts” section and tap “Shortcut Bar.”
Step 5: Tap the toggle to the right of any shortcut you no longer want Facebook to add to your navigation bar.
You can also remove individual shortcuts that are already on your navigation bar.
