Earlier this year, Facebook launched a List feature, allowing users to create and share lists with their friends on their News Feeds. Our guide will show you how this feature works.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the Facebook application on iOS.

Step 1: Near the top of your Facebook News Feed, tap “What’s on your mind?” to begin creating a new post.

Step 2: Scroll upward at the bottom of the screen to expand the list of post options.

Step 3: Scroll to the bottom and tap “List.”

Step 4: Tap one of the popular list topics to create a list based on that topic, or tap “Make a custom list” at the top of the screen to create a list from scratch.

Step 5: If you decided to create a list from scratch, tap “Title” to type a title for the list. Note: If you selected one of the popular list topics, you can also tap on the title to edit it.

Step 6: Tap “Add an item” to add the first item to the list.

Step 7: Tap “Add another item” to add another item to the list. Tap this button as many times as you need to, until you’ve added everything you want to the list.

Step 8 (optional): By default, the list will be numbered. If you want to switch to bullets, tap the bullet button under the list.

Step 9 (optional): If you want to change the list’s background color, tap one of the colorful circles underneath the list.

Step 10 (optional): If you want to say something about your list before sharing it, tap “Say something about your list …” above the list to type something.

Step 11: When you’re done making changes to your list, tap “Share” in the top-right corner of the screen to share your list to your News Feed.
