Facebook helped rescuers save four dolphins in Oyster Bay that were stranded in mud after the tide swept out.

A unidentified resident of the British Columbia, Canada island was cutting his lawn, when he spotted the Pacific white-sided dolphins struggling in a shallow muddied area after the tide receded and returned to the Campbell River.

The concerned man quickly contacted the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to see if they could assist in helping the stranded dolphins get back into the river.

In an effort to try and get more help for the struggling dolphins, the man took to Facebook to put out a call for help.
