Facebook Founder Switched from iPhone to Android: Will Facebook for Android App Get a Facelift?

I don’t access my Facebook account much. But, my first thought after reading this in Redmond Pie was: Does this mean that the Facebook for Android App get a major update?

I fired up Facebook’s Android and iPhone apps and took the photo above to illustrate the difference. The Android app lacks a number of features (chat, events, notes) found in the iPhone app and doesn’t provide any indicators for mail, requests, or recent comments.
