A Facebook argument sparked a vicious battle fight between two Peterborough, Ontario 16-year-old girls that left one hospitalized with stab wounds and the other in handcuffs.

The two youths who were unidentified had a history of major discord. The feud between the young girls came to a boiling point last February when one of the girls could no longer take the profanity and threats between herself and her Facebook nemesis. The final straw was when one of the girls dared to take their virtual fight person-to-person.

On February 28, one of the girls walked over to the other’s home and began barraging the house with snowballs. The door opened and when the intended victim stepped outside, the two began physically fighting.

The accused took a butcher knife and not only slashed the victim across her forehead but then plunged it into the girl’s lungs, spewing blood everywhere.

The high school student then flung the bloodied knife into a snow bank and walked home. Ironically, instead of removing her blood soaked garments, according to the Toronto Sun, the young girl sat at her computer, clicked onto her Facebook page and began to compose a blood curdling message to her victim:

Let that be a f—— warning to you… Try s— again and I’ll f— you up even more.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital and then transferred to another medical facility in Toronto.

The accused, who pleaded guilty to an aggravated assault charge at her hearing which was held on Tuesday, matter-of-factly, apologized to her victim at that time. According to court witnesses, the young girl’s perfunctory apology was devoid of any real emotion.

The accused will now face a judge for her final sentencing on August 15.
