Facebook Creative Labs arrived with much fanfare when it was introduced in January 2014, but it departed quietly, along with some of its stand-alone applications.
CNET reported that Facebook shuttered Facebook Creative Labs, and that three of its apps have been removed from app stores: Slingshot, Rooms and Riff.
A Facebook spokeswoman confirmed the removal of the apps to CNET, noting that they had not been updated recently and saying:
Since their launches, we’ve incorporated elements of Slingshot, Riff and Rooms into the Facebook for iOS and Android apps.
