Facebook Codeless Events Setup for Apps Is Now Available

The feature, introduced at F8, is geared toward non-technical employees

Facebook Tuesday announced the availability of codeless events setup for applications, which was initially revealed at its F8 annual developer conference in San Jose, Calif., in May.

The latest version of the Facebook SDK (software-development kit) includes a marketing kit that enables “non-technical” employees to share the most important events in apps, without the need to write code.

The social network said in a blog post that the feature is aimed at helping marketers understand how their apps are being used and taking that information to build audiences, optimize install campaigns, engage with lapsed users and more effectively measure results.

Facebook wrote, “It simplifies the setup process by enabling marketers to add, modify and remove events with a simple point-and-click tool.
