LAX is Facebook's Busiest Airport
Los Angeles International Airport was the most popular airport people checked into between August and November, according to information Facebook released today.
Based on check-ins on Facebook and third-party location services that have integrated with the Facebook Places API, airports in Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco and Dallas round out the Top 5. Twenty of Facebook’s 25 “most social airports” are located in the U.S. This could be useful for marketers considering check-in promotions or other Facebook campaigns, whether for travel companies or simply at airports.
