Facebook is up to 955 monthly average users, after reporting 901 million as of March 31, according to information released shortly before the start of its second-quarter earnings call, its first ever as a public company.

Facebook is up to 955 monthly average users, after reporting 901 million as of March 31, according to information released shortly before the start of its second-quarter earnings call, its first ever as a public company.

Facebook’s data start with the second quarter of 2010, when it totaled 482 million monthly average users, and that figure steadily increased to:

  • 3Q 2010: 550 million
  • 4Q 2010: 608 million
  • 1Q 2011: 680 million
  • 2Q 2011: 739 million
  • 3Q 2011: 800 million
  • 4Q 2011: 845 million

The social network also reported a rise in daily average users to 552 million, compared with 526 million in the first quarter and 417 million in the year-earlier period.

Shedding light on its surging mobile user total, Facebook reported 543 million mobile monthly average users for the second quarter, up from 488 million in the first quarter and 325 million in the second quarter of 2011.
