Evan Thomas Departing Newsweek

After nearly 25 years at Newsweek and just a hair under four years as its editor at large, Evan Thomas is leaving the magazine, Yahoo! Upshot’s Michael Calderone reports.

Thomas tells Calderone he’ll be heading to Princeton to teach journalism, and he’s got a book on President Dwight D. Eisenhower in the works.

Thomas is no stranger to the academy. From his bio at Newsweek.com:

In 2003-04, Thomas was a visiting professor at Princeton. In 2004-05, he was a visiting professor at Harvard.
