ESPN's Yankees/Red Sox Wins Week, Jersey Shore Season Premiere Takes Second

The Yankees were back in Boston over the weekend, and so was ESPN for the national Sunday night game. It was tops for the week, according to the Nielsen Company, with an estimated 942,000 viewers and a 4.7 rating.

The YES Network was at Fenway Park for the Friday night opener, which finished third (676,000/3.3).

But also high on the weekly prime time survey was the season premiere of MTV’s Jersey Shore from Italy. The latest exploits of “Snooki,” “The Situation,” and Sammi “Sweetheart” took number two (882,000/4.4).

The Yankees, though, weren’t done.
