ESPN and YouTube are teaming up on an initiative in which sports fans can upload highlights featuring themselves or their friends and families, with the best clips airing on SportsCenter, Broadcasting & Cable reports.

ESPN senior vice president and general manager for digital media John Kosner told B&C the cable network is also in talks with Facebook and Twitter about commercial programs, adding:

It’s early. There is a lot of ad-sales interest in social-media programs on ESPN.com
