Lost among all the Lindsay Lohan-related news yesterday, was an interesting tidbit on TMZ about ESPN’s Erin Andrews and her stalker Michael David Barrett.
It seems ESPN sued Barrett to get him to pay the $327,442.27 the network forked out for security expenses to protect Andrews during the heat of the stalking scandal. A California District Court judge, however, sided with Barrett, writing “ESPN voluntarily paid all costs on behalf of direct victim Erin Andrews and restitution to ESPN is therefore not appropriate.”
Andrews had this to say to TMZ: “I’m disappointed with the court’s decision. In my mind Barrett should pay for all the trouble and expense he and he alone caused.”
