eReaders Are Outselling Tablets in Russia

The Russian tech blog expert.ru is reporting that around 658,000 eBook readers were sold in Russia during the first six months of 2011.

The data came from Euroset, a Russian mobile phone retailer, so it’s not clear how accurate the data really is. But Euroset also sells eReaders, and it saw an increase in sales by 1400 percent between the first half of 2010 and of 2011.

Of course, the more important data point is that Euroset believes that eBook readers are outselling tablets in the Russian market by three to one.

Is this true? Well, like all  market data you really need to take it with a grain of salt.
