Entertainment Weekly Deploys Microsoft Tag for Summer Movie Preview Issue

Microsoft Tag keeps adding magazines to its roster, following Wednesday’s announcement by Woman’s Day that it would debut the technology in its May 2010 issue with a similar announcement by Entertainment Weekly Thursday.

The Summer Movie Preview issue, dated April 23 and being released Friday, will use Microsoft Tag to encourage readers to view the official trailers of 16 featured films via their mobile phones.

Entertainment Weekly added that five advertisers — Absolut, HBO, The History Channel, Honda, and CTAM/Movies on Demand — will also participate, using Microsoft Tag to drive readers to content including b-roll from their ads and dealer locators.
