HelpWantedSign650Wanted: Editors. Facebook has been looking to hire contract editors to work on Paper, the Flipboard-like mobile news-reading application the social network has reportedly been developing, two sources told Re/code.

The sources told Re/code editors will curate all of the content for about 10 different news verticals, rather than Facebook’s traditional process of relying on algorithms.

Re/code reported that the Paper editors will only be able to select content that has already been shared on Facebook by media outlets, so don’t look for any scoops in Paper.

Earlier this month, Re/code reported that Facebook was working on Paper, a mobile news reader that would enable users with mobile devices to see content from other Facebook users and publishers in a visual format created for their devices, adding that Paper could be either a stand-alone app or a separate Web experience, and that news stories would appear alongside status updates.
