Edelman Hires Top Tech Officer from Burson-Marsteller

Martin O'Reilly will be global chief information and technology officer.

Today Edelman announced the hiring of Martin O’Reilly, now-former global CIO for Burson-Marsteller, to fill the same position at its agency.

Prior to joining B-M, O’Reilly spent two years as CEO of WPP’s Group Technology Services; earlier roles include running tech infrastructure in the EMEA region for GroupM, the parent company of WPP’s media entities.

After helping Burson move through “its largest IT operational transformation” and helping to develop its custom marketing tech and analytics platforms, O’Reilly will be the strategic and operational leader of Edelman’s IT functions around the globe.

He works in the firm’s New York office and reports to Global COO Matthew Harrington.
