eBay Rolls Out Third-Party Applications for Power Sellers

eBay rolled out a series of applications available free-of-charge for embedding by subscribers to its Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro, following its move in April to stop charging sellers for Selling Manager and transform it into an open platform where third-party developers could embed their applications into my.ebay.com.

Sellers can access the applications via eBay’s Productivity Applications page, and they include Terapeak Marketplace Research, HostedSupport‘s customer-support tool and the ahTXT text-messaging service.

eBay platform senior manager Kumar Kandaswamy said:

eBay’s API platform already attracts 96,000 developers who have built more than 13,000 live applications.
