eBay Launches App For Textbook Shopping
eBay has launched a mobile app for its discount site Half.com which helps students find the best deals on textbooks.
The app lets users photograph barcodes to find the best deals of the textbooks and other school items. It works using technology from RedLaser, a mobile app company that eBay bought earlier this year.
CNET reports: “iPhone owners can use the free app, released in Apple’s App Store Monday, to take a picture of a bar code on a product and then scan Half.com’s
