Duran Leaves Roll Call

Nicole Duran has decided to leave Roll Call in order to pursue other opportunities,” Roll Call recently announced in a staff email.

Nicole joined Roll Call in 2003 as a staff writer and moved on to cover campaigns and elections.

There has been a bit of speculation that Duran left, in part, because she was not given the “senior” title usually granted to reporters after five years. That does look to have played a role in Duran’s departure, but there were other reasons, as well, and Duran may have simply decided that it was time to move on.
