Does MSNBC Have A Double Standard For Imus?
He got two weeks. Still, that’s what some are wondering after the network waited nearly a week to suspend Imus for comments he made about the Rutgers women’s basketball team.
In 2003, MSNBC moved swiftly to fire host Michael Savage for homophobic comments, calling the decision at that time an “easy one.”
According to Media Matters, MSNBC fired Savage on July 7, 2003 after he referred to an unidentified caller as a “sodomite,” and saying the caller should “get AIDS and die.”
