Do Designers Dream of Helvetica, Bold?

Here’s a terrific bit of helpful that you may not have passed along in your travels: thinking with type. It’s a terrific compendium to the book of the same name by Ellen Lupton, which covers all the stuff you need to know to get a well-rounded education in typography. The site has a batch of really great, illustrated discussions about what works well when set like such, how to effectively use spacing and sizes. Really just a big batch of educational freebies to help entice you into buying the printed version. Exceptionally worthwhile to browse over if you aren’t much a type person, or want a quick two-minute refresher course, or, if you’re like certain UnBeige writers, need to learn why using comic sans in all caps keeps earning you horrible nicknames and chatter behind your back.
